With StaffCop you can get detailed information about the software and hardware that have been installed or uninstalled on workstations. This can be very useful for system administrators as they don't have to present physically at each workstation to get the list software and hardware available there, as the system administrator can see the entire list in a single report. This type of report is can be used to investigate cases when employees change expensive hardware with its cheaper analogues or when a corporate policy prohibits usage of some software (or when a licensed software is used with limited number of copies that can be installed by the company).
